The ATP Mallorca Championships ambassador of the island at ITB Berlin

Our tournament Director Toni Nadal has been today together with the president of the Consell de Mallorca and the Conseller of Tourism and Sports supporting the island in its promotional activities at the ITB Berlin next week

The ATP Mallorca Championships has reaffirmed today its commitment to the promotion of Mallorca throughout the world by the hand of Toni Nadal. In an institutional event in which the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Cati Cladera, the conseller of Tourism and Ssports, Andreu Serra, and the Olympic medalist, Joan Llarneras, the director of the ATP Mallorca Championships has shown himself as the perfect ambassador for the promotion of sports tourism on the island.

Next week at the international tourism fair ITB Berlin (the most important fair in the world in this sector), Mallorca will carry out a serie of activities focused on promoting sports tourism on the island with several clear objectives: «we want to show that Mallorca is able to offer a seasonally adjusted product. And most important, it has to be a quality and sustainable one from an environmental and social perspective, ”said the president of the Consell, Cati Cladera.

Toni Nadal has revealed some of the most important news of this first edition of the ATP Mallorca Championships. Nadal has explained that the tournament is building a new central court with capacity for more than 3,500 spectators. Also, one of the most exciting points of the event will be the “evening sessions” sessions under artificial light (something absolutely new in the world of professional tennis on grass). He has also talked about the extension of the facilities and the social events that will be happening during the tournament, among many other news. The representatives of the ATP Mallorca Championships and e|motion group at the ITB Berlin will be the director of the Bett1 Open Berlin, Barbara Rittner, and the former professional tennis player, Marjus Zoecke.
