Carreño, Ruud, Khachanov and Kyrgios lead the list of players taking part in the Mallorca Championships

The Frenchmen Humbert, Mannarino and Simon, the Serbians Lajovic and Kecmanovic, and the German Stuff also stand out. Pablo Andújar, semi-finalist in Geneva after defeating Roger Federer, joins the already confirmed Spaniards Carreño and López.

The ATP has released today the list of players who will compete in the Mallorca Championships from the 19th to the 26th of June. In addition to these nineteen confirmed players, there will also be four players from the qualifying rounds. The organisers also have three wild cards available to complete the final list of 28 players who will be fighting for the title at the Mallorca Country Club.

Norwegian Next Gen Casper Ruud, world No. 16 and recent champion in Geneva after defeating Shapovalov in the final, will be one of the big names on the grass courts of the Mallorcan tournament. In addition, Karen Khachanov, ranked No. 25 and champion of four ATP titles (including the Paris Masters 1000) will be another of the players to follow during the event. The cut is made by the player who has reached the highest position in the ATP rankings -former world No. 6- and who has more titles -a total of 14-. He is Frenchman Gilles Simon, currently ranked No. 69.

The organisation of the event has decided to focus on young talent and, in addition to Ruud, some of the most outstanding Next Gen players will also be in Mallorca, such as Humbert, Kecmanovic and Harris. They will be joined by big names on the circuit with more than 35 ATP titles under their belts, such as Carreño, López, Andújar, Querrey, Delbonis, Chardy and Pella

Kyrgios is back since the Australian Open

Another big attraction at the Mallorca Championships will be the presence of Australian Nick Kyrgios, who reached No. 13 in the ranking and has six ATP titles in his career. But if there is one thing the Aussie is known for, it is his indomitable character and his connection with the crowd. The bad boy is a guarantee of entertainment in every match he plays and that has made him one of the most popular tennis players among the fans.

There will be a virtual eSports tournament alongside the professional event

Besides the confirmation of players, the organisation has also announced that, due to its collaboration with Infinity Talent -a company specialised in digital events- and its DAMGR platform, a virtual event will be played simultaneously with the ATP tournament. The Mallorca Championships DAMGR Virtual was created with the intention of providing the best possible user experience and will be open to all fans. The winner's prize will be an Xbox X.
