Magic Richard Gasquet lands at the Mallorca Championships
The third and final invitation to the Mallorca Championships main draw has been awarded to French Richard Gasquet, who recently won his 600th match on the ATP Tour and is currently ranked No.46.
The Beziers, France-born player was the unquestioned world No. 1 in his junior career. His great rival was the Spaniard Rafa Nadal until 2005, when they met at Roland Garros.
The 36-year-old experienced tennis player stands out for his spectacular one-handed backhand and is a player with great performance on grass. He has won three of his sixteen ATP titles on grass (Nottingham 2005, 06 and 's-Hertogenbosch 2018).
In addition, the Frenchman has reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon twice (2007 and 2015) and has a record of 31 victories in 47 matches played at the third Grand Slam on the calendar.
