Mallorca Championships reveals the Main Draw

The Mallorca Championships' third edition Main Draw has revealed this Saturday. The ceremony held at the Mallorca Country Club's house club was attended by the Spaniard Roberto Carballés, who acted as the innocent hand, to define the draw for the 28 players who make up the line-up of the only grass-court tournament held in Spain.

In addition to the start of the Qualifiers, early matches of the main draw will be played this Sunday, with yet another year's line-up featuring some attractive players for the general public. Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Davidovich, Ben Shelton and Adrian Mannarino advance directly to the second round as top seeds and await opponents in the last 16.

The Greek, world No.5 and reigning champion of the ATP250 tournament held in Santa Ponça (Calvià), will face the winner of the clash between the German Yannick Hanfmann and the Argentine Pedro Cachín. For his part, the Spaniard and second favourite will do the same against the winner of a match between two players who make it through the qualifying round. The American, seeded third, awaits the winner of the match between his countryman Christopher Eubanks and a qualifier. The Frenchman, fourth seed, will face either American Marcos Giron or Argentine Guido Pella.

The order of ties has determined that Tsitsipas and Mannarino will advance through the top half of the draw, coinciding with Frenchman Richard Gasquet, seeded sixth, who will make his debut against Australian Jordan Thompson; Spaniard Feliciano López, who will face Max Purcell; as well as his countryman Carballés, seeded eighth, who will take on Ilia Ivashka.

Davidovich and Shelton meet in the bottom half of the draw, where fifth seed Alexander Bublik, who will face Albert Ramos, and seventh seed Bernabé Zapata, also from Spain, who awaits a qualifier for his opener.
