Mallorca Championship’s second edition starts with ‘Tennis Plays for Peace’

The kick-off of the second edition of the Mallorca Championships was marked by the traditional 'Opening Gala' event at the Mallorca Country Club. Tennis players, celebrities, authorities and other personalities of the island gathered on Friday evening in Calvià to enjoy a relaxed evening of solidarity in the framework of the Exhibition Match for Ukraine.

The duel counted in its attractive line-up with the German legend Tommy Haas, the active Spanish tennis players Feliciano López and Jaume Munar, as well as the Austrian Lucas Miedler. The spectators enjoyed the matches in singles and doubles format, as well as the VIP dinner in the house club.

The Mallorca Championships, with Edwin Weindorfer, CEO of e|motion group; Toni Nadal, tournament director; Marie Walketseder, managing director of Mallorca Country Club and Pilar Carbonell, general manager of e|motion sports Espanya; has joined the initiative 'Tennis Plays for Peace' created by ATP in joint with WTA, ITF and the four Grand Slams in order to raise funds and aid for the Ukrainian people.

Among the guests were Sandra Gago, model and wife of Feliciano Lopez; Maribel Nadal, marketing director of the Rafa Nadal Academy and promoter of Crabs Company; along with her partner and journalist Antonio Arenas, the captain of the Spanish Billie Jean King Cup team Anabel Medina, as well as social media influencers Laura Gibanel and Delantero09.
