The Mallorca Championships will crown a new king
Mannarino, Hanfmann, Eubanks and Harris meet in semi-finals
Third edition of the Mallorca Championships will complete its list of winners with an unprecedented winner. Adrian Mannarino, Yannick Hanfmann, Christopher Eubanks and Lloyd Harris aspire to succeed champions Daniil Medvedev (2021) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (2022) after qualifying for the semi-finals in which the only seed is the French player.
The fourth seed, who turned 35 on Thursday, beat his compatriot Corentin Moutet (7-5, 6-2) to repeat the penultimate round he reached at the Mallorca Country Club in the first edition (2021). Mannarino, who received a birthday cake on the same court to celebrate with the Central Stadium crowd, will now face Hanfmann.
The German is still on a roll at the Mallorca Championships. If in the round of 16 he achieved the best victory of his career against the No.5 and first pre-qualified Tsitsipas, a day later he defeated Feliciano López, a specialist on grass courts (6-2, 6.4). The Spaniard also ended his professional career after two decades at the top.

In the bottom half of the draw, Eubanks and Harris are still in the running. If the former also knows what it's like to eliminate third seed Ben Shelton, now we have to add that for the first time he will reach the ATP semi-finals (7-6 [5], 7-6 [4] to Arthur Rinderknech) and will break into the No.60 ranking on Monday at the earliest.
On the other hand, the South African, who entered the qualifiers as a qualifier, will contest a penultimate round for the fourth time after qualifying (Chengdu 2019, Adelaide 2020, Dubai 2021 and Mallorca 2023) thanks to his win over Pavel Kotov (7-5, 6-2).
