An exhibition match by and for Ukraine

Mallorca Championships supports ‘Tennis Plays for Peace’

Next Friday June 17 at 19:30 will take place the traditional exhibition match prior to the start of the tennis tournament Mallorca Championships. However, this year it is not just another match, it is a match that we all play together, it is a match by and for Ukraine.

Aware of the situation that the Ukrainian people are suffering at the moment, e|motion group has not wanted to look the other way and wants all proceeds from the purchase of tickets to go directly to Ukraine. The initiative will be channeled through the ‘Tennis Plays for Peace’ initiative created by ATP in conjunction with WTA, ITF and the four Grand Slams in order to raise funds and aid for the Ukrainian people. Massimo Calvelli, ATP Director General, said: ‘We are delighted to see the Mallorca Championships rally behind our ‘Tennis Plays for Peace' initiative in support of the Tour’s humanitarian relief efforts for Ukraine. More than US$ 1.1m has been raised so far, and we would like to thank the tournament organisers in Mallorca for this valuable contribution towards our collective efforts. We wish everyone involved with the Mallorca Championships the very best ahead of what will undoubtedly be another successful tournament”.

Next 17 th , Mallorca, tennis and Ukraine will join hands to support a situation that is unsustainably dragging on. It will be an exhibition match with the confirmed presence of the German Tommy Haas, world tennis legend. Throughout the week the rest of the players will be confirmed and what will undoubtedly be a great line-up that you will not want to miss... From his side Edwin Weindorfer, CEO of e|motion group, has highlighted: “for us it was an obligation to contribute our small grain of sand with the Ukrainian people”.

If you want to support the event buy here your ticket and enjoy a wonderful event at the gates of the ATP250 Mallorca Championships tournament, for those who wish to make an additional donation at the tournament venue to help the Ukrainian people.
