Bautista enjoys at home

The Spanish ends Bellier dream and will play his 20th ATP final

Roberto Bautista became the second finalist of the Mallorca Championships and will face Stefanos Tsitsipas on Saturday (3:00 p.m.) for the second edition of the only ATP250 played on grass in southern Europe. The Spaniard beat Antoine Bellier (7-6[5], 6-2), stopping the Swiss's dream of moving on in the tournament after coming out of the qualifying round.

The fifth seed needed 78 minutes to overcome the resistance of an opponent who started the tournament outside the Top-300. After winning the first set in a tiebreaker, Bautista had to break back in the second set and rattled off six games to seal the victory and the 20th final of his professional career.

The world No. 20 already knows this year what it is to win a title (Doha) and can add the eleventh of his career. Precisely the first of them also came on the grass of 's-Hertogenbosch eight years ago.

Bautista will have before him the challenge of opening his win record against Tsitsipas. The Greek dominates with two victories in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open (2019) and the ATP Cup (2021).
