The favourites know their way in the Mallorca Championships powered by waterdrop®

This Saturday, in parallel to the start of the qualifying round, the main draw singles of the Mallorca Championships powered by waterdrop®, which this year reaches its fourth edition and will be played until Saturday 29th June, was revealed after the draw held at the Hilton Galatzó Mallorca hotel.

Jaume Munar was the guest in a ceremony supervised by the tournament referee, Javier Moreno; Simon Schleich, management director of e|motion Group for Germany and Spain; as well as the presence of Alejandro Moure, director of the Hilton Galatzó Mallorca hotel, as host. The Mallorcan tennis player, the main local star, got lucky in the top half of the draw and will play in the first round against the German Sebastian Ofner.

As for the seeded players exempted from the first round, Ben Shelton (1) awaits the match between Luca Nardi and Rinky Hijikata; Ugo Hunbert (2) will do the same waiting for Roberto Bautista or Taro Daniel; Adrian Mannarino (3) awaits Nuno Borges or Alexander Michelsen; while Alejandro Tabilo (4), Alexander Shevchenko or a player who comes out of the qualifying round, still in dispute.

The other four seeded players already know their debut opponents. Luciano Darderi (5) meets Spain's Pedro Martinez, Gael Monfils (6) takes on Dominic Thiem in one of the highlights of the first round, Jordan Thompson (7) faces Yannick Hanfmann and Christopher Eubanks (8), the tournament's defending champion, takes on Jakub Mensik.

The other matches in the opening round will be between two Spaniards, Pablo Carreño and Roberto Carballés, and Fabio Fognini against a player who comes from the qualifiers.
